OVERVIEW

What it is

A tubular element is a resistance coil inside a metal sheath, insulated with compacted magnesium oxide and formed into virtually any shape. Alone or assembled into flanged immersion banks, tubular heaters heat liquids, gases, molds and metal parts directly.

We manufacture to drawing: diameter, length, bend radii, sheath material (copper, SS304, SS321, Incoloy 800), watt density and terminal style are all matched to the medium and service life you need — the same elements we build our own heaters from.

How do I choose the sheath material?

Water and mild liquids: SS304 is standard. Oils and mild acids: SS321 / SS316. High temperature or corrosive media: Incoloy 800. Tell us the medium and we confirm.

Q

Can you reproduce an existing element?

Send the drawing or a sample with dimensions, power and terminal photos — we quote a like-for-like replacement, often with improved watt density margins.

Q

What limits element lifetime?

Surface load (watt density) against the medium's heat-removal ability. Overloaded elements run hot internally and fail early — correct sizing doubles or triples life.
